Curiosity & History

Pelabroc House is located in the territory of Gargnano del Garda, a town in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. It is located within the Alto Garda Bresciano Regional Park, about 50 km from the city of Brescia. The name of the town already appears in some historical documents dated 937 d.c. and some gravestones testify the presence of Etruscans, Celts, Cenomani and Romans. From 1350 to 1426 the territory was dominated by the Visconti and then passed under the dominion of the Republic of the Serenissima, Venice.
Later it will be annexed to the Republic of Brescia, whose fortunes will follow under the Napoleonic and then Habsburg domination until the Kingdom of Italy.
